somewhere between a zine and a booklet, these 50 odd informal pages explore recollection (?), reflection (?), on a trip i was lucky enough to take alone when i was a teenager. I was studying in HK at the time, and learning about taoism/daoism from the internet and old books in my spare time. I wanted to investigate further, and practise my mandarin, so i set off with my savings during my winter break intending to visit 5 sacred taoist mountains in china. I've scattered quotes inside from the tao te ching (specifically Stephen Mitchell's translation), and I hope it doesn't feel too preachy and only a little cheesy, it all sounded important and impressive when i was 18. this booklet isnt really about daoism, and its not really about the doodles. i'm still not too sure what it really is, but i worked hard on it, here it is.
